We suggest you go before you start. There are 274 Waste Management portable toilets around the start area and another 109 staged every half mile along the course. It is vital that you drink fluids before, during and after the race. At the start area there are aid stations in the First National Bank of Colorado drive-up, at the Amoco station west of the bank, and in front of The Altera Villas, south of the corner of Iris and 30th on the east side of the street.

There will be a Help Tableon the southeast corner of 30th and Iris in case you have any last minute questions. Look for the Celestial Seasonings Ambassadors at the start & finish area. These helpful folks can answer all your questions and point you in the right direction on race morning.

Pin your bib number on the FRONTof your clothing (unless you plan to cross the finish line backwards). The finish line timers need to see your bib number. Don't remove or put pins through the barcoded finish tag; it will be collected at the back of the finish chutes to determine your order of finish.

You can honor a friend or relative who is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces by wearing an Honorary
Memorial Day Back Bib,which will be available at either of the BolderBOULDER stores and at the registration area on race morning.

The wave start was designed to allow you to run with people of your ability. It reduces crowding on the course, is safer, and provides for a system to accurately time and place every participant. At the starting area look for the volunteers carrying signs that match the letter(s) on your bib. This is where your start wave forms. Go to them. Stay with them. All participants in your wave should have the same letter(s) on their bibs. If they don't, tell them and if necessary tell an official. Runners in the wrong wave will be disqualified. It takes time to start all 78 waves. Remain patient; it's worth it! The volunteers will advance your wave to the start line for an exact starting time. Check the wave start times.
