2006 Qualifying Waves

The first 24 waves in the race are qualifying waves.

In order to register and run in one of those waves we require you to submit proof of a qualifying time.

Please wait until after you have run your qualifying event to register for BolderBOULDER.



If you have run a recent race (since May 30, 2005), and want to find out what wave you qualify for based on your time in that race, click here for a PDF of the 2006 wave time comparison chart.


Either of the following work as proof:
Your 2005 BolderBOULDER finish time

A finisher's certificate, printed race result, web results, or newspaper article from another race you have run since May 30, 2005. We can convert any race, from two miles up to a marathon, into an equivalent 10k time. View the 10k conversion chart.

If you mail or fax your entry, attach a copy of your proof to the entry form when you mail or fax it. Make sure your printout includes the race name, date, your name, and your time.

If you register online, please cut and paste your results (your name, the race name, distance and time) into an email, along with a the link to that race's results page. Send the email immediately after you register online to bolderboulder2@bolderboulder.com -OR- immediately fax your proof to 303-444-7240.

Need a qualifying time?

You can take the BolderBOULDER Treadmill Test at either of the BolderBOULDER stores beginning March 25, 2006. If you can run two miles on our treadmill in 18:46 or less, you are guaranteed a spot in one of the qualifying waves.




Run in the Dick's Sporting Goods FlatOut 5k on May 6.
