BolderBOULDER International Team Challenge
The International Team Challenge at BolderBOULDER attracts top professional runners to compete in the largest road racing team competition held annually in the United States. Three person teams from around the world travel to Boulder to compete for the largest non-marathon road racing prize purse in the world.
The professional Wheelchair Race
The professional wheelchair race begins at 6:55am at 30th and O'Neal Parkway in Boulder. The professional wheelchair racers and 50,000 citizen participants race on the same course which finishes in the University of Colorado's Folsom Field.
Team Introductions
Team introductions precede the professional races on the stadium floor. At 11:26am the professional women start from inside Folsom Field. The professional men's race starts at 12:15pm. Teams compete on a 10k 5 lap criterium course along Folsom Street which includes a lap through Folsom Field. Spectators can watch CBS 4's live coverage of both events as they unfold from inside the stadium on the BuffVision big screen TV or outside the stadium along Folsom Street.
Three person teams from around the world are selected by invitation only. The minimum standard is a certified 30:00 10k at altitude for men, 36:00 10k at altitude for women.
