Help For Homeless Vets: Transitional Housing program
The All Faith Consortium (AFC) has been selected to work with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and the VA Grant and Per Diem Office to establish a (43 to 90)-bed Transitional Housing Program for homeless veterans in the Washington, DC area. The plan combines three proven service delivery strategies: 1). Intensive case management with wrap-around supportive services; 2). Therapeutic community treatment milieu; and 3). Neuro-Associative Conditioning techniques. This program is one 34 in the nation and is anticipated to act as the model for all other programs of its type.
Salute Your Service: Stand Down Expo
The All Faith Consortium takes another step to reaching and serving "Homeless Veterans" of the United States in its 1st "Salute Your Service-Stand Down" Expo. This forum is designed to inform the American public of the tremendous challenges placed upon America's Veterans, while we simultaneously motivate, educate and begin placing homeless veterans into critical personalized services that will help them overcome these challenges and restore their sense of dignity.
The All Faith Consortium organized these services so that thousands of caring volunteers and professionals will give of their time, resources, and expertise to address the unique needs of homeless veterans in Washington and throughout the Nation
Disaster Relief Center & Hotline: Hurricane Katrina
All Faith Consortium has opened a Disaster Relief Center and Hotline in effort to assist the hundreds of homeless veterans from New Orleans who are now being sheltered at the Armed Forces Retirement Home and the DC Armory in Washington, DC. Hotline: 1-866-650-4600
